Teen Volunteer: Take & Make Scarves For Donation

Event Details

This is a volunteer opportunity for those who would like to take home materials to make scarves and bring back so we can donate to those in need.

Patrons should sign up ahead of time to make sure we can have enough materials for everyone who registers. Those who sign up will receive an instruction sheet for how-to make loop yarn scarves and enough loop yarn to make a scarf. Materials will be available to pick up at the Teenspace department starting on the 1st of December.

We would like to have finished scarves returned by the 15th of December so we can donate the scarves before the end of the year.

 

As a follow-up, if teens are interested in the library having another loop yarn program where teens can keep the scarves for themselves, we would be more than happy to have a follow-up program in January. Please leave a note while registering saying that you'd like to take part in a program for yourself.
